Casa Piscina del Cielo
Zihuatanejo | 2025
Set on Mexico’s Pacific coast, this house was designed to blend into the land and almost vanish within it. A gentle slope and natural rock formations inspired an architecture that adapts, breathes, and opens itself to the surroundings. At the heart of the project lies a monumental palapa sheltering the main social spaces, fully connected to the sea.
The most iconic element is a 27-meter pool visually floating above the cliff. Through a window at its base, waves crash against the rocks below, giving the surreal sensation of hovering in midair.
Vertical circulation is achieved through staircases, ramps, and an elevator, ensuring full accessibility. On the lower level, the main bedroom and a gym open onto a terrace lookout.
Using local materials, cross ventilation, and a passive approach, this home celebrates the harmony between architecture, nature, and the horizon.
